The Bar has lost a towering legal icon, NBA President Mazi Afam Osigwe mourns the demise of Yunus Ustaz SAN.

Dear members of NBA Kaduna Branch,

We received with shock the news of the passing of our dear beloved, Yunus Ustaz SAN, a motivator, Life Bencher, distinguished Leader of NBA Kaduna Branch, and a legal luminary of exceptional caliber. The Bar has lost a towering legal icon, who has now returned to his maker for eternal rest. Many drew inspiration from his shining example. Until the very end, he championed and upheld the noble principles of the legal profession. While we mourn the loss of this remarkable individual, we also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.

As the Bar Leader of the NBA Kaduna Branch, he served with unparalleled dedication and distinction. He was a legal giant who steadfastly upheld the virtues of truth, fairness, sincerity, and, above all, an unwavering kindness that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a shining example of the highest ideals and standards of the legal profession, and his contributions to the legal landscape and the nation as a whole will be long-remembered and revered.

It is beyond doubt that the passing of this Legal Icon will be deeply felt by his beloved family, the NBA Kaduna Branch, and the entire legal Profession in Nigeria. His absence will leave an indelible void that will be difficult to fill, for he was a true giant among his peers, a beacon of excellence, and a bastion of integrity.

As we pray that the Almighty forgives him all his shortcomings and grants him al Jannah Firdaus. We also offer our sincere condolences to his beloved Family, and the members NBA Kaduna Branch. May his soul find the peace it so rightfully deserves, and may the entire legal community take solace in the exemplary life he lived.
