This is to notify all members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the general public that, following the removal of the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) by a unanimous resolution of the National Executive Council, on Thursday, 29 February 2024, a Caretaker Committee was appointed comprising Sir Steve Adehi, SAN (CHAIRMAN), Yakubu Philemon, SAN (ALTERNATE CHAIRMAN), Ben Oji (SECRETARY), Ronke Adeyemi (MEMBER), and Eva Amadi
(TREASURER), to manage the affairs of NBA-SPIDEL.
The said Caretaker Committee was inaugurated by the President on Monday, 4 March 2024. All member of the NBA and the general public are hereby notified that the erstwhile Executive Committee of SPIDEL led by John Aikpokpo- Martins Esq (CHAIRMAN) and Ms Funmi Adeogun (SECRETARY) and all other members of NBA-SPIDEL constituting the said Executive Committee, no longer have authority to act in that capacity either for
themselves, the NBA-SPIDEL or the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)
