Duty of a respondent in an appeal

โ€œWhere there is no cross-appeal nor a respondentโ€™s notice as contemplated by Order 19 Rule 7 of the Rules 2016, the duty of the respondent is to adopt the issues formulated by the appellant, answer them, and show why the appeal should be dismissed.
