At the monthly meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association, Owerri branch, hosted by the Friends of Afam Osigwe, Afam Osigwe, SAN, Chairman of the NBA Remuneration Committee, addressed colleagues on the enforcement of the Remuneration Order 2023. During his speech, he emphasized the importance of adhering to the new order and encouraged members to act as ambassadors in promoting and implementing its provisions.
The Learned Silk highlighted the key aspects of the Remuneration Order, outlining its benefits and the positive impact it aims to have on the legal profession. He urged all members to familiarize themselves with the details of the order and to ensure its proper application in their practice.
He also reiterated the collective responsibility of the association’s members to uphold the standards set by the Remuneration Order 2023, stressing that consistent enforcement would enhance the integrity and sustainability of the legal profession in Nigeria.
